My grandpa’s favorite flowers were Bleeding Hearts, and every spring when I see them in bloom; I think of him. Because of this affection for my grandfather, I planted these flowers in my garden and at his grave.
Affinity for something because of its place in your life can keep you from moving forward, inhibiting your success. While there’s nothing wrong with feeling a connection to these things, you need to be able to let go and stretch beyond what you’ve known before. After all, growth in all aspects of your life is vital to building great businesses, and impactful lives.
Ask yourself, what’s holding you back? Is it fear of failure, or not knowing how to get where you want to go? All you need to know to succeed is how to take the next step. No one has all the answers. You can succeed–you just haven’t figured it out yet. Take it one step at a time.
I’ll always welcome spring; it’s new growth, fresh starts, and my grandpa’s favorite flowers. Treat each new day as your spring.
